    What's it like to be part of the engineering team at Zappi?

    We are a very collaborative team and you will have the opportunity to ask advice from where necessary, and with your team you will have a high degree of influence on design and implementation decisions.

    We operate in a busy, fast moving environment whilst continuously striving for improvements in quality. You will almost certainly work across different programming lanaguages and technologies building and sharing knowledge with your colleagues as you progress.

    • Willingness to ask for or offer help when help is needed proactively.
    • Desire to work in an environment which is friendly and comfortable for a very diverse group of people.
    • Ability to communicate via video conference, messaging and face to face. Development teams at Zappi are often geographically distributed across multiple Zappi offices.
    • Ability to self-manage in an organisation with a high degree of autonomy.
    • Willingness to share knowledge in order to allow the team to grow as a whole or Zappi as a whole.
    • Understanding of the importance of good administration and proper uses of team tools like GitHub, Jira and CI tools.
    • At Zappi we aim to hire well, pay well and give high functioning teams space to solve problems in ways they see fit. We aim to provide each team with the context to solve the problem without dictating how it should be done.

    How we interview

    The interview process at Zappi is a three stage process which is defined below:
    1st stage: A brief call (no more than 30 minutes) with our People and Resourcing Manager. This will be to understand more about what you are looking for and to tell you a little more about Zappi!
    2nd stage: This will be either an onsite or Zoom meeting and will take around 2-3 hours. It will consist of a general discussion and a pen & paper tech test.
    Cultural Chat: Time to get to know each other better over a coffee or beer
