We’re all hackers. This doesn’t mean we all hold a key to the Internet (although one of our founders does), but it does require approaching problems in unconventional ways. Our patented technology detects and prevents sophisticated online fraud. By reducing the incentives for crime, we are making the Internet a better place.
Fighting cybercrime is not easy. We’re constantly pitted against other skilled hackers. We solve problems unconventionally, move fast, and create ‘tau’ for each other to constantly evolve and stay one step ahead. There are challenging problems and organized cybercriminals to fight, but the way we see it - life is too short to do stupid crap for money ;). If our mission appeals to you, we should talk.
Our headquarters is located in Manhattan's own Flatiron District. With remote hackers across the world as well as offices in London, Victoria (British Columbia, Canada), and the Washington D.C. area, our mission is worldwide!
Typically, you’ll chat with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners first to gain a broad perspective on White Ops, the work we’re doing, and learn more about the specific role we have in mind for you. This is also an opportunity for us to get a better sense of your interests and make sure we connect you with the right opportunity. In order for us to get a sense of your current skill level, we may ask you to complete a short project or exercise to help us understand your technical aptitude prior to moving forward with interviews.
Next, we'll invite you for about a 45-minute video interview with the hiring manager. You’ll learn more about the role and team, as well as share more granular details about your work experience to ensure the role is a good fit.
If we've identified you're a good fit and you're still passionate about White Ops (which we think you will be), you'll join us for onsite interviews. This set of interviews typically includes four or five face-to-face interviews that each last approximately 45 minutes. Each human you meet with will focus on a specific area that relates to the position you’re interviewing for. The goal is to determine your fit for the role, as well as ensure you connect to our core values. Depending on the role you’re interviewing for, there may be a second short round of interviews with one or two of our executives to finish up the process.
We truly value your time. We are quick to move forward with the interview process and we are always avaible to address any questions or concerns you may have along the way. Shortly after interviews, no matter where in the process you are, we gather feedback quickly so we can update you within 24-48 hours. If something out of the ordinary happens and we can't provide immediate feedback, we make sure to keep you in the loop.
Be a hacker
Innovate without regard to convention. Tinker to learn how things really work. Share what you've learned.
Empower others. Be a toolmaker and a bridge-builder. Find the levers for disproportionate impact.
Move fast at step zero. Unblock yourself. Move forward in the face of imperfect information and uncertainty.
Whether you win or lose - be humble and play the next game. Be self-aware. Listen first to understand.
Deliver the results you promised. Demand excellence from yourself. This isn't a typo.
When you can, tip the balance of the world in favor of good. Use power responsibly.
