With the access of information at our fingertips, we have all the tools necessary to make heathier choices, but do we? Why do we continue to see a push towards healthy lifestyles yet our health declines year over year? Two of our biggest health crises currently, Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, could be managed with a change in diet and an increase in exercise alone. So how is this still an epidemic we are facing? Something is broken here…

There are thousands of tools out there for the consumer but Wellsmith is different in that we are approaching this from not only the engagement of the consumer, but also through the healthcare system, to create a partnership between the two that has not existed before.

Doctors will be prescribing wellsmith health kits to patients as part of their treatment plan. On the wellsmith app, they are able to track activity, food, medication, blood pressure, weight, and glucose levels all to create cohesive health data that can be accessed by their care team in real time reporting. Gone are the days of spending hours at a doctor's office to check your blood pressure and weight, and get a pat on your back. We want to give doctors and nurses time back in their day to focus on care of their patients and not pushing paper. For the consumer, we want to give them tools to make simple, memorable, and actionable lifestyle choices and help to take back ownership of their health.
