This expertise led us to the launch of our HinaLea Imaging business, which offers deep expertise in advanced hyperspectral imaging solutions that are applied to a broad array of market applications from medical diagnostics to machine vision.

Our hyperspectral imager won the prestigious SPIE PRISM AWARD, an optics and photonics awards program that has been bestowed by SPIE, an international scientific society, for over 50 years, for one of the most innovative imagers on the market. We also have won a GOLD EDISON AWARD in material science, were named the HEALTH AND SAFETY PRODUCT OF THE YEAR by Packaging and Converting Intelligence Magazine, and were selected by R&D Magazine to the esteemed R&D 100, which identifies our solution as one of the most prestigious tech innovations in America.

Our cGMP-compliant nano-porous silica manufacturing and advanced materials R&D center is located in Kapolei, Hawaii, which is about 20 miles west of Honolulu on the island of Oahu. Cool, right? Our hyperspectral imaging and engineering lab is located in Emeryville, California, across the Bay from San Francisco and in the shadow of Berkeley and Oakland.

And yes, we recognize the King Kamehameha Day holiday, in honor of Kamehameha the Great (you may know him as Kalani Paiʻea Wohi o Kaleikini Kealiʻikui Kamehameha o ʻIolani i Kaiwikapu kauʻi Ka Liholiho Kūnuiākea), the legendary warrior, diplomat and leader who conquered and united the Hawaiian Islands.
