Democratizing Design by Making 3D Printing Available to All
Trove makes 3D printing and design accessible to anyone regardless of experience or ability.
Trove is an online platform for discovering, sharing, and customizing 3D printed jewelry designs. Users can browse through a variety of design templates and use our intuitive in-browser customization software to personalize their jewelry to perfectly fit their style.
Once satisfied with their design, users can have their jewelry 3D printed in materials ranging from stainless steel to 18K gold and have their unique jewelry shipped directly to them in a matter of weeks.
Any design created on Trove becomes a part of our social stream, where users can explore and discover designs customized by others on Trove. They can then further customize these designs, allowing products to grow and change over time. Users can also follow each other to keep up-to-date with trending designs and new releases.
Why are we passionate about Trove?
Trove was founded in 2014 by Brian Park, Andrew Hong,
and Tim Growney and is based in New York City. After
each working with 3D printing in various capacities,
they realized that the consumer-facing 3D printing
resources on the market were aimed towards technical
communities made up of engineers, designers, and
makers.
Trove was founded in order to bring the possibilities
of 3D printing to a wider audience. While people are
becoming increasingly aware of new digital fabrication
technologies, widespread adoption of 3D printing
is being hampered by the lack of relevance of the
technology to peoples’ everyday lives.
Trove seeks to answer the question of “what now” that
people ask after first seeing 3D printing.
