Tractable is an artificial intelligence startup, applying recent breakthroughs in deep learning to build game-changing products in traditional industries. Computers can now surpass human performance on visual recognition tasks : we are taking these breakthrough from the lab to the real world !
Backed by Silicon Valley venture capital, we are looking for dynamic, entrepreneurial and broad-minded individuals who want a front row for the ongoing revolution in machine learning.
Today, a large volume of repetitive work is performed by professionals because it requires expertise. Complex tasks that can only be performed by expensively trained humans…. or could only be!
A vast number of these tasks have indeed suddenly become open to automation : our vision is to use AI to simplify and accelerate repetitive work so professionals can focus on more meaningful activities.
Insurance and other traditional industries are ready to adopt intelligent solutions : the window of opportunity is momentarily gaping wide and Tractable’s vision is to lead this age !
We focus on some of the most challenging computer vision tasks: expert visual tasks, for which humans require years of training. In insurance, visually predicting the operations required to repair a car is a visual task that drives a $200b market.
To tackle these visual tasks we are building proprietary DL tech, enabled by datasets numbering in the hundreds of millions of images. Driven to achieving the promise of this tech we are building user-centric products around this research using the latest technologies and cloud computing techniques
Our Product and Platform teams focus on delivering simple solutions to big problems. Auto InsureTech has a track record of terrible UX and products that don't put the user first. At Tractable, our cross-functional teams work together to design software from the ground up with both the user and scalability in mind. Tractable's rapidly growing customer base presents the tech team with interesting challenges in both application architecture and infrastructure. Our teams build highly decoupled microservices hosted in AWS and tie it all together with CI to ensure they can deliver rapidly and move onto their next challenge.
