TerraVerde Energy is seeking a Python + Django backend engineer to join our small, but effective software team.
TerraVerde is a small consulting company that punches well above its weight class when it comes to affecting energy policy in California.
Historically, our core business has included helping municipal entities like school districts and city governments design and deploy renewable energy projects. As part of that business we've developed software for modeling the financial benefit to electricity consumer who deploy 'behind the meter' energy resources like solar panels and storage batteries.
Our business is evolving toward providing software and consulting services to CCAs, which are a new class of non-profit, local energy providers that are springing up across California. To that end, we've won a pair of high-profile state and federal grants for developing software to help these energy providers structure their electrical rates and customer programs to incentivize the deployment of renewable energy resources.
