Teach For All is a global organization that supports a network of 36 independent national organizations around the world, each of which is referred to as a “partner” (e.g., Enseña por Colombia, Noored Kooli [Estonia], Teach For India, Teach First [UK], Teach For America, etc). Partners are independent, locally led and locally funded, though all partners have a shared vision for expanded educational opportunity in their countries: each partner organization recruits and develops diverse individuals in their country from a range of academic disciplines to commit two years to teach in high-need classrooms and to work throughout their lives as “alumni,” both within and outside of education, in pursuit of expanded opportunity for children.
Teach For All’s mission is to accelerate our partners’ progress and increase their impact. We do this in several ways, including: providing direct advisory support, facilitating connections across the network, accessing global resources for the benefit of all partners, and fostering the leadership development of partner staff, teachers, and alumni.
These values guide how we engage together across the global network.
We seek to build national movements that expand educational opportunity in ways that are life-changing for children and transforming for communities and nations. Given the magnitude of educational need and to ensure the change we effect is significant and sustainable, we act with high standards and urgency while taking a long-term view.
We value the strength and diversity across the network and are committed to learning from each other in pursuit of multiplying our impact. With humility, we take the initiative to understand each other’s experiences and perspectives and to act strategically on the insights we gain.
We are committed to supporting one another’s welfare, development, and success. We help and challenge each other, and we seek answers that make each other stronger. To foster a strong and collaborative global community, we operate with openness, honesty, respect, trust, and generosity.
Sense of possibility
Our deep belief in the potential of children, communities, and nations — and our optimism about the possibility of ensuring educational opportunity for all — inspires us to be bold and entrepreneurial in tackling the challenges we face.
Teach For All provides a global platform for sharing and learning across borders and works closely with network partners to accelerate their impact in their countries. We operate out of five regional hub offices in New York, Washington DC, London, Doha, and Hong Kong.
Our employees are leaving their mark on the world
We’re committed to working toward educational equity on a global level because we believe that ensuring all children—everywhere—receive a high quality education leads to a more just, peaceful, and thriving world. Within and beyond our network, we engage with incredible people all over the world every day, and go to bed knowing our hard work and passion are helping to drive significant impact.
Significant responsibility offers many opportunities to grow
As a growing network of independent organizations with ambitious goals, Teach For All operates in an innovative and ever-evolving environment. By necessity and design, employees are responsible for multiple projects and are given a high level of accountability and flexibility to do their best work. We value a culture of supportive feedback that allows us to continuously learn, improve, and excel.
We work with exceptional people
Grounded in our four core values—Transformational Change, Constant Learning, Mutual Responsibility, and Sense of Possibility— Teach For All is committed to building a diverse and inclusive community in which everyone learns from and collaborates with each other. While we are ambitious and hard-working, we are also generous and friendly. Through our unique perspectives, we expand each other’s worlds.
We’re flexible so you can be too
At Teach For All we’re passionate about our mission and serious about our work—but we’re also human beings with full lives and multiple priorities. Our staff members live and work around the world, some in our five hub offices, others in home offices. Being global may mean taking an early morning or late evening call, but it also allows us to adapt our schedules around personal and family priorities.
We offer our employees highly competitive compensation packages that reflect their contributions to our mission and their prior experience. With staff members living and working on five continents, we’re committed to providing globally equitable and locally applicable benefits.
