The Tassomai Story

Tassomai began life as a tool intended to disrupt the private tuition market. Our founder, previously a private tutor himself, was disillusioned with an industry which lacked regulation, helped only the financial elite, and which largely provided very poor value for money.

By applying basic teaching and educational psychology principles to content written by subject experts, Tassomai is able to provide a lot of the value of a private tutor at a tiny fraction of the price. Tassomai analyses each user's strengths and weaknesses to provide a personalised scheme of work, telling students what to revise and when to do it.

Tassomai works well for the individual, but where it has flourished in the past two years is in the UK school system. By presenting the data that's gathered to personalise each student's scheme of work back to teachers, Tassomai saves time on marking, provides targeted revision which can be used to replace homework, and gives teachers a detailed breakdown of each student's strengths and weaknesses.

Tassomai has experienced massive growth since its teacher analytics platform was launched - it's helping teachers improve learning outcomes in 10% of UK secondary state schools, whose students are answering over a million questions per day.

What's Next?

Having posted a comfortable profit last financial year, Tassomai is in a great position for growth. We're uniquely placed to serve the UK (and eventually international) school market, and we intend to leverage our growing market share to provide more services to teachers, students and parents.
