The Stylect Story

It began when two of the three co-founders (Hadi & Giacomo) met each other whilst working at Techstars. They both had a habit of making jokes (a quality that remains to this day and informs the company culture).

Giacomo came from the world of e-commerce. After his time at Google, he was an early hire (one of the first 20) at Dafiti, an e-commerce giant in Brazil which now does revenues of $60 million per month. So, one day Giacomo, an avid user of Tinder since arriving in London, exclaimed: "What if we did Tinder for e-commerce?".

Days, weeks, months after, the idea and the team working on it grew and grew. The end result was a company dead-set-focused on a product category that has billions of fans all over the world: Shoes. We've grown into a company devoted to solving one particular pain-point and doing it extremely well with the use of well designed apps, a beautiful companion website and rapidly improving algorithms.

With more than a million downloads in iOS and Android, Stylect has only just started disrupting the shoe shopping industry and we can't wait to tell you more about what is next.

How we interview

We try to keep things short and sweet and make our decisions quickly... which we believe to be mutually beneficial. First, we do about a 30 mins phone interview (with a co-founder), where we tell you a little bit more about ourselves and also field any questions that you may have. Next is an on-site interview where you get a chance to meet the full team and checkout the workplace. Finally, we usually give you a tiny project to complete and pay you for the time you spend on it. If it all works out, you get the offer within a day or two of submitting your code.
