At sea on a nuclear submarine, thousands of miles from friends and family, StoryBox founder Justin Nassiri found some inspiration. Cramped in the dining hall with half of the 200-member crew, Justin watched as their ship's captain opened a care package from home to celebrate the halfway point of their 3-month underwater mission.
The care packaged contained a DVD filled with heartfelt messages from friends and family back and home, and the impact on the crew was profound. The photos and videos sent from home meant more to the crew than any other gift possibly could. That scene - the impact that real messages can have on people - remained ingrained in Justin's mind.
Years later, at Stanford Business School, Justin learned about how the #1 objective of every company is to create personal and lasting relationships with their customers. It was then that Justin realized that there is a better and more authentic way for companies to build a relationship with their customers. Rather than through produced imagery and slick advertisements, companies could use their real and passionate customers to tell their own story. And with that, StoryBox was born.
Since then, our team has worked tirelessly to be on the cutting edge of customer storytelling. We're building the simplest ways for companies to use their customers to tell their story for them, and we're having a lot of fun along the way.
Located in downtown San Francisco, StoryBox is committed to building a culture where each team member is supported and challenged to reach their full potential - inside and outside of the office. We have weekly meditation training, weekly yoga classes, and are eager to help each other become our best selves. It's important to us that - as a team and as individuals - we are growing, learning, and evolving every day.
