In 2003, SCB started by asking a single question: Why? Why does the insurance industry still do business like it was the 1950s? Why did innovation skip over the Canadian group insurance marketplace entirely?
We asked, why did every employee have to fill out an enrollment form? So we built a system that allows employees to enroll online, saving our clients the effort of enrolling members, and saving members the effort of filling out forms. Our revenue is derived from Group Insurance and Group Retirement services offered to both large and mid-market firms across Canada and we are the only firm leveraging leading edge technology to benefit our clients.

Our philosophy is to always ask why, which has made industry-moving changes. We take pride in this, and our clients reap the benefits. We do not accept ‘that’s what everyone else has always done. We make traditional insurance fun and easy as we believe we do better when our clients do better.
