Hello! We’re Sanctuary Computer. We make artful & empathetic user interfaces on the Bowery in New York, New York.

We work on compelling digital projects in the music, startup & social infrastructure spaces, and our small team all hail from art and design backgrounds, bringing those principles into our code and culture.
We’ve worked closely with some of New York’s most notable design firms like Gin Lane, PlayLab, Labour NY, and Human NYC. Some recent clients include Dig Inn, Herman Miller, and Dame Products.
We think working on a small team and giving everyone creative freedom is invaluable. For that reason, you will always have a voice on the future of Sanctuary. We hope that leadership excites you and you run with it (and we make more great things together!)
We write in Javascript (ES6 / ES7 / TypeScript), Elixir and Ruby, and use tools like React (Native), Redux, Ember, Phoenix and Rails. We fully realize designs with a high level of visual quality, while also building strong, reliable, and well tested data delivery systems.
We work to seek out modern projects with opportunities to use newer, innovative technologies to keep our stack fast and our brains sharp.
