What you should know about Provoke

Back in 2001 a group of five young 20 something's got together and decided to set up a web design company in Wellington New Zealand. It kind of went like this....
'Okay who's keen to start a web design company? We can do it better, have more fun and make money at the same time. How hard could that be?'

Fast forward 14 years ​Provoke is now a full-service software design & development company specializing in the delivery of enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft technology. Now with over 140 staff worldwide we boast a rich pedigree in design-led software development with a technical focus on; Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, .NET, SQL Server, Windows8, Windows Phone and Skype for Business. Globally we offer the full spectrum of professional services from strategic consulting and analysis through to design, development, testing, hosting and support.

That's interesting, but what about the US?

Three years ago we set up our Bellevue office, where we have built a strong client base with Microsoft and key US-based clients. We're growing quickly and are interested in people with go-getter, get it done attitudes who relish working in a smaller environment where you can make an impact.

Our small front office team are focused on delivering success to our clients, who are our raving fans. Our delivery and development teams are based in Seattle, Auckland, Wellington, Manila and now Singapore.

What's our hiring process like?

Given we hire people and not robots, we try to make our hiring process as personal as possible. Yes we need you to be masters of your craft, but what's more so much more important to us is who you are. Quite simply we care about your passion, integrity, honesty, drive, leadership, and pride in your work.

The process usually starts with a 20 minute informal chat with our recruitment team followed by meeting with a number of team members in our Bellevue office. Given we're only a small crew we want to ensure the fit works for everyone. We do our due diligence so expect some technical and personality assessments as well as reference checking.

Given our head office is based in New Zealand, there is a bit of a time difference to consider for that initial chat but don't worry, we're a flexible and adaptable bunch so are pretty used to working across timezones.

We don't like to sit on our hind legs so move as fast as we can through the process and we usually want people that can transport themselves back in time to start a week ago!
