This brand new Software Engineering Team based in our central London location (Marylebone) is responsible for up-scaling and launching a new platform using micro-services architecture with Node.JS, React, AWS, Docker Containers and infra-as-code environment allowing us to deploy countless times per day.

At Pizza Hut Digital Ventures (PHDV), we are committed to using best of breed technologies to build the next generation pizza ordering and delivery platform. So far we have built a cloud-based, highly distributed and scalable microservice architecture that allows us to deliver on our goal of creating a cutting edge user experience.

Some words on our stack: The delicious frontend is built on React, Redux and plenty of Javascript. Our cheesy backend runs on a combination of Node.js and AWS Lambda. All of which is based on a delicious Infrastructure dough made up of a secret combination of the AWS Stack (ECS, SQS), Terraform, Circle CI and Docker. Using the latest and greatest in deployments technologies allows us to bake and deliver this beauty multiple times an hour, within minutes.

We operate a lean approach to testing and learning with every step we take and have a true fail fast, fail early mentality, which allows us to optimise for change. We have a flat and non-hierarchical organization, which ensures all ideas are heard and evaluated equally.
