About Phrase Health
Phrase Health is an early-stage health technology company that turns data into insights for hospitals seeking to improve their processes, clinician workflows, and patient outcomes. Phrase had early success as a spin-out of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with a tool that democratizes access to data for electronic interventions like alerts to doctors and nurses. Phrase is now at an inflection point in which the company has spotted opportunities to expand to new data sources, map rich data sets to meaningful outcomes, and implement machine learning to identify hidden opportunities.
Who We Are
Marc Tobias is CEO of Phrase Health. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. With a background as a software developer, he finished a Clinical Informatics fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) following his emergency medicine residency. While there, he developed the early Phrase research that ultimately spun out as a company in 2019.
Mike Zeidlhack is COO of Phrase Health. He completed an MBA in 2019 from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Prior to that, he advised startups overseas in Ghana and worked as a consultant at Accenture.
