You can read more about our vision here, but here's a synopsis:
Managing your finances can be a confusing and often stressful process, thanks to the complexity of the financial world. As a result, most people don't actively track their finances.
Our goal is to change that—specifically, Penny manages your finances so you don't have to. Every time you chat, Penny will crunch the numbers and share insights with you about your spending: where your money has been going over the past week or month; specific merchants you frequent or general trends in your spending; upcoming bills and paychecks; expenses in the past or future.
In essence, Penny cuts through the complexity and tells you what you need to know, when you need to know it.
We're a small but mighty team that prides itself on finding ways to do a lot with a little: juggling first class customer support, product initiatives, and growth campaigns between the three of us. We're well funded and have the backing of some incredible investors. We express ourselves openly—on Penny's blog, on our own blogs (Mitch, Alex, Andrew), as sources for major publications (NYT, Forbes)—and do so frequently.
We're looking for someone to join our Bay Area–based team. All four of us are engineers, and we expect that the next member of the team will have at least some experience shipping production code. Besides that, we don't have hard requirements as far as skills go, but we do have some nice-to-haves.

We value these three things above all else:
We'd be happy to elaborate on each over coffee.
Since we're a small team, we can move at whatever pace you'd like. If you're in a hurry, we can get through our process in a matter of days. If you want to take your time, we can spread it out over weeks or even months. Either way, we generally respond within twelve hours.
Hope to hear from you soon!
