Vision

Origin is building the sharing economy without intermediaries, allowing buyers and sellers to transact directly on the blockchain. We are focused on fractional use goods and services (car-sharing, service-based tasks, home-sharing, etc.) and target use cases that are currently supported by companies like Elance, Fiverr, GetAround, Airbnb, and Uber.

Using the Ethereum blockchain and Interplanetary File System (IPFS), the platform and community are decentralized, allowing for the creation and booking of services and goods without traditional middlemen.

We're passionate about:
- Reducing onerous transaction fees (oftentimes 20-30%) on existing platforms
- Reducing censorship and arbitrary regulation
- Rewarding early community participants with a financial stake in our network
- Making P2P sharing economy transactions instantly global

Company

We're building a world-class engineering, product, and community team to disrupt traditional middlemen in the sharing economy. We imagine a world where open-source software can connect buyers and sellers directly.
