THE ENGINEERING TEAM:
Our Engineering team is lead by our CTO, Ewan Silver. He and the team are in the process of building out our award winning web and investment management platforms.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
We understand the importance of getting the cycle of hiring new talent right and aim to keep the turnaround of the interview process as short as possible.
Our hiring manager kicks off the process with an initial 30 minute phone call giving Nutmeg the opportunity to give you a good insight into business and the Engineering team. They will touch over the projects and working style of the Engineering team and will quiz you on your work experience and outside interests.
Technical Codes are a good way for us to see how you work as an Engineer. We send out a code to all candidates. In the next stage, face to face, our Engineers will partner with you on how & why you chose to write the code the way you did.
Next up is a face to face interview in our office. You'll meet the hiring manager & a few of the Engineering team, giving you an opportunity to have an in depth technical conversation with an array of team members. This meeting usually lasts for about 2 hours.
Finally.... an offer. When we believe an Engineer is the right person for the job / team we move quickly! We turn offers around as quickly as possible. In some situations it will be the same day as the interview.
WHEN YOU START:
Nutmeg understands the feeling of ‘interview and new starter’ jitters and does its best to make all applicants feel as comfortable, well informed and excited, leaving a positive imprint throughout the process.
Once you've signed your contract, our People & Talent team will commence the on-boarding process. They work tirelessly to make sure your desk, computer systems, laptop, on-boarding manual & your Nutmeg hoody & t-shirt are waiting for you at your new desk. A 2 week induction schedule awaits you, giving you an opportunity to understand the wider business and meet everyone in the office.
25 Days Base Holiday
Nutmeggers benefit from an additional 5 days of leave than the UK statutory amount of 20 days per calendar year.
Every Nutmegger gets to celebrate and enjoy their birthday away from the office. If your birthday falls on a weekend, Nutmeggers can select a day which is within 2 weeks of their birthday.
Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve
Nutmeggers are given ½ days of leave on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve.
We believe in a work life balance. With management approval you can have flexibility on your start and finish times as long as the hours work for the core of the business (9 to 5.30pm) and work out to be 37.5 hours per week.

From day one with working with us you will have the peace of mind knowing that you will be fully covered for up to four times your base salary by our life assurance policy.
Season Ticket Loans
We know how expensive travelling in to and around London is and we want to help Nutmeggers pay for the travel card upfront to reduce the cost by offering season ticket loans.

Employee Discounts on Nutmeg Products
Working for us, we want you to enjoy using our products. Once you have completed your probation period we offer an employee discounted rate of 0.3% on our products. We also offer discounts for friends and family.
After successful completion of your probationary period, you will be eligible for Company matched pension contributions up to a maximum of 3% of your annual salary. The minimum contribution level has been reduced to £1,000 and as Nutmeg employee you will also benefit from the 0.3% fee rate which is significantly less than industry standards.
