Nurx launched in December 2015, prescribing birth control through an app and delivering it to patients’ doorsteps, in the process breaking down barriers of cost and convenience to help women access essential healthcare. We’ve since expanded to provide PrEP for HIV prevention (including home testing), home cervical cancer screening, and home testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, with more services to launch soon. We have more than 250 employees across three primary offices — San Francisco, Syracuse, and Miami — and have served more than 400,000 patients. Our services are available in 28 states plus DC, an area encompassing more than 85% of the US population. We have raised over $90 million, including most recently Series C funding co-led by Kleiner Perkins and Union Square Ventures. Our CEO is Varsha Rao, formerly COO of Clover Health and Head of Global Operations at Airbnb, and our board includes Chelsea Clinton and Dr. Regina Benjamin, former Surgeon General of the US.
