Our Story

In 1998, our Founder, Demian Sellfors, combined his self-taught web design expertise with his passion for innovation to create Media Temple from the confines of his LA apartment, and start providing premium web hosting to the creative class.

Fast forward 16 years: We are the hosting choice of individual and professional creative, helping web developers, designers, and creative agencies run and scale their business online. Over 125,000 people and businesses rely on us to power more than 1.5 million websites in 100 countries. We are more than “just” a hosting company: We are strategic partners, striving to enable our customers to focus on creativity, innovation, scale and quality, while we manage their servers.

From day one, Media Temple’s philosophy has revolved around our customers. As a result, we are committed to constantly improving our solutions and staying current with the latest (and the best) versions and technology available.
