You will join a fast-moving team that spans a wide gamut of skills and experiences, ranging from hardware engineers building our latest generation of aerial imaging system; to developers building out scalable data processing pipelines and operational logistics systems; to specialists in agronomy and satellite data processing; all working together to tackle real-world problem of producing enough food to feed the world’s growing population.
Tasks You'll Be Responsible For
Work closely with our operations team to understand operational needs, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate and launch frequently.
Be an owner of what you build as you architect, test, and refine Mavrx internal systems.
Tackle a wide variety of technical problems throughout the stack and across multiple projects.
Develop APIs, both to power continuing product development and to interact with third parties
Analyze and optimize code for efficiency and performance
Experience
Solid knowledge of Javascript, Python, Django, Tornado and React.
Keen grasp of scalability, systems engineering, design patterns, and algorithms
Mastery of relational databases (MySQL and PostgresSQL) for high-performance environments (experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, CouchDB and Cassandra a big plus)
Strong experience with JavaScript, and familiarity with CSS and HTML
Experience with cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure
Ability to define and implement software development best practices including test-driven development
