The rapidly evolving cryptocurrency space has a need for some of the basic financial infrastructure that exists in traditional areas of finance. We are building this infrastructure from first principles.

We are building the first regulated options exchange and clearinghouse for digital currency, starting with Bitcoin. Long holders need to hedge their price risk, and short holders need to generate income, so we have a two-sided market for bitcoin options. Last year, we received approval from the U.S. government to operate the first federally regulated exchange and clearinghouse to list and clear fully-collateralized, physically-settled bitcoin options for the institutional market.
