iStrategyLabs was founded by Peter Corbett in 2007, and set out to become an “idea foundry” that could bring new ideas into the world for clients and itself. In the first year, Peter was the only employee but managed a team of sixty-five contractors producing marketing campaigns and technology projects for clients like GEICO, American Eagle Outfitters, Corona and more.

By year two, he was able to move the business out of his apartment into an office space in Dupont Circle (aka “1510”), and hired ISL’s first two employees. By year three the team had grown to five and at the start of 2012 there were eleven full-time employees. Today there are 50+ team members. Over the course of the company’s history, iStrategyLabs has worked with 28 of the Fortune 500, seen 10s of 1000s of blog posts, articles, TV and radio stories about its work -- and frequently beats some of the biggest and best agencies on the planet for new work and clientele.

iStrategyLabs has been successfully built and bootstrapped during one of the worst economic times in history and has been profitable from day one. It is also an enterprise not typically found in Washington, DC -- the types of consumer facing, web and mobile innovation driven projects it works on are often built in places like NYC, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Silicon Valley. In the face of stiff, international, well-resourced competition – the firm has excelled and continues to do so.
