Who We Are

IES is a small, privately held startup with headquarters in San Francisco and team members in Houston, Denver, and Oklahoma City. IES provides technical and software solutions to help oil and gas companies and their stakeholders analyze the risk of their operations through independent ratings and risk analytics.

We use these ratings to drive responsibility and continuous improvement in the oil and gas industry, and we’re very serious about that mission. To a person, we are committed to developing a rigorous, common standard for our evaluations and providing our customers with risk management improvements that move the needle and can be applied in practice.

How We Interview & Hire

We are currently interviewing only for technical roles. Our process begins with a half-hour introductory call with our Head of Engineering to help you learn more about the company & role, to gauge your interest and background, and to determine if there's a mutual fit.

If we move forward, we'll be giving you a take-home programming challenge as our first technical assessment. The final stage of our process is an in-office interview featuring a mix of technical interviews with our engineering team and fit interviews with our Head of Product and CEO.
