What is imATHLETE?

imATHLETE is changing the way that athletes engage and interact with the events, services and retailers that power their lives. There is a revolution in athleticism and it is happening right now. Can you feel it? There are more people running, more people biking, more people communing with the environment than ever before.

There are more physically active people today than in the history of mankind. And every day more people want to actively participate in their world.

imATHLETE is the natural byproduct of this desire to participate. We are the next generation of active living.

imATHLETE is based on one simple concept: that getting the courage to start exercising is more admirable than whatever number the clock may read at the finish line. Regardless of whether you are winning Olympic medals or just out for a Saturday morning hike, the initial action is the same: you get your butt off the couch and participate.

We believe that there is an athlete in all of us. You don't have to run fast, swim far, jump high or hike hard to be an athlete. If you care about your fitness, you are an athlete. If you want to be healthy and live an active life, you are an athlete. If you run a 10k and come in dead last, yes, you too are an athlete.

imATHLETE is all about you. We are a company by athletes like you, for athletes like you. We hope to be the world's most effective open marketplace for athletics, connecting your questions with the people that can answer them. imATHLETE is about bringing everybody together - athletes, events, coaches, clubs and communities, all in one place.

How the hiring process works

We'll start with an introductory call, with the goal of sharing more information about the company, the team, our stack, and anything else you are curious to know. During this call, we'll also get to know more about you to determine if there's an alignment in terms of our needs and your interests.

After the introductory call, we will either ask you to complete a code challenge before you to meet with our team in person. If we do not ask you to prepare for a code challenge before the in person meeting, we will send you home with one to complete afterwards. These code challenges vary depending on the level of seniority of the role as well as the role itself, but you can expect to spend between 30 minutes to one hour from start to finish on the challenge.

After the code challenge and in person meeting, if we feel there is a fit, we will be ready to move forward with our offer, and you can start enjoying your cappuccinos in the office made with our new fancy machine ASAP!
