Our flagship product is Hugo, the world’s first pay as you drive liability insurance. Hugo gets rid of large upfront fees, delivering insurance for a small prepayment, and lets drivers pause their coverage whenever - all by text message.

We’re a tight team of engineers, insurance geeks, data junkies, and community builders on a mission to make sustainable financial services that lift up all consumers.

WORKING WITH HUGO

A company is only as good as its people. That's why we've put as much effort into building the right team and workplace as we have building a product that makes lives better. Some things you should know:

1. We keep teams small and pay top of market. We believe a lean team of A+ Hugonauts will always outperform a much bigger team of B+ competitors. So we hire fewer folks, pay better, and avoid meetings at. all. costs.

2. We work flexible hours, not 9-5s, wherever we want. We want the best, and the best don't always work a stable 9-5, and don't always want to work from the office (even with our incredible beach + ocean views...)

3. We believe in stability over speed. We can't let our customer down, which means our code can't go down and our Hugonauts can't burn out. That means we target a sustainable work pace, scaleable, high-availability services, and are funded for the long term.
