    Our Mission

Healios was founded in 2013 to tackle the global inequality of healthcare provision that affects over one billion people worldwide with mental health and neurodiverse conditions. After assembling a team of talented Healios Pioneers, we created the world’s first family intervention approach delivered through technology for those affected by severe mental illness and their families. We saw the difference this made to the lives of families and started working with the NHS to make our solution as broadly available as possible.

Fast forward to today and we have built the world’s most comprehensive range of clinical services across children’s mental health and neurodiverse conditions. Through our extensive work with NHS partners around the UK, we are fortunate to have already touched the lives of thousands of families.

Our passionate and caring team continues to innovate new tools and techniques that allow our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. We will work endlessly until every family can access the support they need to feel better. We will empower families to stay connected and develop the skills required for long-term mental health and wellbeing.

    Our Innovation

From our digital delivery platform, Panacea, to our CBT-based app, ThinkNinja, creating innovative solutions to everyday challenges is an essential part of our work at Healios. By uniting technical skills and clinical expertise, we help children and young people to access high quality care.

    Panacea
    - As a digital service provider, we use our own platform, Panacea, to connect children and young people with compassionate clinicians across the UK. During sessions, children, young people and their families or supporters can chat with a clinician via video. They can also manage appointments, view session notes and use engaging interactive tools.

    ThinkNinja
    - Developed by experts with the help of children and young people, ThinkNinja is an app for 10 to 18 year olds that helps users to build resilience and manage their mental health through CBT-informed exercises. Within the app, young people can receive CBT in small, manageable blocks through text chat and video. With this, they'll have frequent check-ins with a clinician through a text messaging functions on the app in addition to their video sessions.

    Our Future

After securing £7m in our Series A we are now looking to grow out our Tech, Data, and Product teams for our continuing UK expansion as well as our brand new pod based in New York City. This round was led by InHealth Ventures with participation from existing investors AlbionVC.

Healios will use the funding to scale our AI, machine learning, and data science expertise, as well as add valuable members to the team. Our platform digitises the clinical pathway, enabling children, adults, and their family members to use clinical services at home. With this, we are closing the access gap which has plagued mental health provision for far too long.
