The term “gung ho” originates from the Chinese word, “gong he.” In essence, it represents passion, dedication, and enthusiasm. Our logo is made in the shape of the smile we hope to spread to gamers around the world. We strive to achieve that goal under the leadership of our company President Kazuki Morishita, a dedicated visionary and gamer who believes that a game needs to be fun more than it needs to be profitable.
Located in sunny southern California, GungHo Online Entertainment America is the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese game company GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. Publishing titles across multiple platforms ranging from console to handheld and mobile, our group is comprised of veterans from various aspects of the industry brought together by one simple thing: a love of gaming.
Headed by Jun Iwasaki (former president of both Square Enix U.S.A. and XSEED), the company began operations in November of 2012. Our company perfectly symbolizes our Japanese headquarters’ vision of “East Meets West” as we release GungHo’s internally developed titles in addition to seeking our own publishing initiatives in the Western market.
