OUR MISSION
Money is the #1 cause of stress in America, but traditional financial advice is expensive and built for a different generation. Even though 4 out of 5 adults think they could benefit from advice and answers to everyday financial questions from a professional, only 1 in 3 are getting that advice.

At Grove, we believe that building empathy with our clients is essential to understanding them, but financial planners can’t solve this problem alone. We’ve built our own planning engine to optimize our client’s money and help them get on track for their goals.

OUR APPROACH
Technology: We’re building software that enables us to offer personalized advice at a fraction of the price of traditional financial advisors. You’ll work on challenges like a financial modeling engine or a platform to ingest bank and investment account data.

Human Advisors: We’re not your parents’ financial advisor and our team redefining what it means to work with a financial advisor. Empathy is a big part of the equation at Grove. Our advisors work with their clients 1:1 to understand their unique financial situation to help them get on track.

ENGINEERING AT GROVE
Our engineering team is small and informal at the moment; we are each empowered and expected to do anything from frontend to backend development, test automation, and light devops work. We also get to present and advocate our own product ideas and engineering-driven project work.

We’re implementing and evolving a suite of tools that allow our team of certified financial planners to efficiently analyze our clients’ financial data and generate highly personalized financial plans. We are creating:

• A financial modeling engine that determines whether life goals are achievable against changing market conditions.

• An analytics platform for ingested bank and investment account data.

• A workflow engine to combine advisor and machine expertise in order to create a financial plan.

• A beautiful, intuitive interface for measuring clients’ lives against their financial plan (including natural-language explanations of financial recommendations).
