The idea of leading pair programming sessions and code reviews, solving architecture challenges and helping to plan the roadmap, while at the same time making great pull requests, seems like a great day at the office to you.

The Details

We believe the individual defines the role as much or more than we do and are looking for engineers excited to join a small but growing team that is looking to revolutionize the interior design industry and beyond.

While this is an engineering role for a business/e-commerce oriented application, you will be be working in a culture that values beautiful design and and strict attention to detail, so an eye for design and user experience is critical.

The environment in which you'll be working is very collaborative and some of the clients will be in the same office, so not only will your work have an impact immediately, but you’ll also get user feedback very quickly. We’re looking for engineers that can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders.

The Technology

Ruby on Rails
Node, Express, GraphQL
Python, Celery
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Modern front-end JavaScript libraries (e.g. React, Vue, Ember, Angular)
Experience with TDD
Experience creating and consuming REST APIs
Experience using payment gateways such as Stripe
Experience with e-commerce platforms

The Process

Our interview process consists of three steps:

30 min phone screen to gauge fit and interest
60 minute tech screen in either Ruby or JavaScript (can be done remote or at our office)
Full day interview at our office
- Two pair programming sessions covering Ruby and JavaScript
- Lunch with engineering/product team
- Conversations with various members of our team
