We’re a tech-first scale-up regarded as one of the hottest payments fintechs in London. Founded in 2016, we now partner with over 25 of the most exciting and disruptive banks and fintechs in the world including N26, Holvi, Viva, Tandem and Ebury.
The payments industry is undergoing massive change and disruption. Current payments technology is fragmented, typically deployed on-premise, difficult to implement and expensive to run while banking arrangements are complex to negotiate and implement. Our award-winning cloud-native, real-time payments platform addresses these issues, helping banks and regulated fintechs process payments quickly, simply and cost effectively.
We’re an end-to-end Payments-as-a-Service that leverages powerful, scalable microservices architecture and APIs to provide a single point of access to the full universe of payment schemes. Reliable, secure and future-proof at the point of delivery with no hardware or software requirements, we offer our customers a straightforward, easy to use and hassle-free solution to modernise their payments technology.
Building greatness in a disruptive era requires strong ambition, talent, curiosity, diversity of thought and a belief that we’re better together. We want our employees to grow whilst with us so we’ve created an environment that encourages everyone to learn, challenge each other and create extraordinary experiences for themselves, their colleagues and our customers. We are continually on the lookout for talented people from all backgrounds that can further contribute to this amazing culture.
We care deeply about everything that we do; inclusive working practices and diverse teams are at the heart of our business. Made up a mixture of banking experts, techies, artists, marketers and customer advocates, here at Form3, we strongly believe that everyone has a voice and that diversity and equality in the workplace will be fundamental to our success moving forward. We know there’s more to be done but we are fully committed to championing a culture of diversity and inclusion where our employees are empowered to be their best.
Understanding that a great work-life balance has a massive impact on our employees’ happiness we therefore offer a super flexible working environment. We like to work face-to-face from time to time and generally look for people who can get to our London office two or three times a week. As for our Engineering Team, they have the option to work remotely 100% of the time but are more than welcome to use either our London or Amsterdam office if they feel like it.
If you want to work for a company that values your autonomy, growth, thoughts and insights, then Form3 is the place for you.
Our hiring process varies depending on the role and the candidate, but this should give you an idea of the steps you should expect to follow:
1. Phone screen with Talent Team (30 minutes)
2. A project-based technical test that is completed remotely (approx. 4 hours)
3. Technical interview with 3 members of the Engineering Team via video-link (1 hour 30 minutes)
1. Phone screen with Talent Team (30 minutes)
2. Phone interview with Senior Product Manager (30 minutes)
3. Onsite interviews (1 hour 30 minutes)
Our Engineering Team consists of over thirty five Senior Software Developers that are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of our platform, from architecture through to infrastructure. Individually they are all exceptional at what they do, but by working collaboratively within a team, consistently applying best-practice and automating absolutely everything they are able to build world-class software for our customers.
There are a wide range of problems to tackle as a Software Developer at Form3, from configuring nginx proxies to writing custom payment routing and handling logic. It’s very much a “best tool for the job” mentality here and our tech-stack is forever evolving. To give you a flavour of what we’re currently working with here are some of the tools we use; Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Consul, Linkerd, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL. Our primary programming language is Go however we do have some services written using Java, Python and Ruby.
Whilst experience of the above technologies would be nice, it is by no means essential. We are looking to speak with well-rounded, Senior Software Developers who have a breadth of experience across a variety of programming languages, have an understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing alongside an appreciation of automation and the DevOps culture. Candidates should also value the importance of code quality and software development best-practice, whilst being passionate about technology and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.
We don’t mind whereabouts our Developers are based as we are happy for our team to work from anywhere in the UK or EU, with most of them choosing to work remotely most of the time. That being said, we do also have London and Amsterdam offices, so should they ever wish to work from these, they are most welcome.
