At FLYR, we're building the world's most sophisticated AI platform for dynamic pricing and bundling for airlines.
When we founded FLYR, we realized that particularly because of the travel industry’s focus on distribution, a wealth of data awaits those that can harness the immense volumes. With access to various such valuable data streams, we started understanding how products like airline tickets are priced and what signals could help us forecast future trends.
Our team consists of prize-winning data-scientists, software engineers that dream code at night, and business-building entrepreneurs with backgrounds in travel and enterprise technologies.
FLYR’s core Product Engineering and Data Science teams build the math and software services at the core of delivering the value of our real-time prediction and tracking technologies to our clients. Our services and APIs are used by our major travel industry partners worldwide to provide our offerings to millions of consumers, and we are expanding in 2018 with more partners than ever.
We’re looking for skilled software developers and data scientists who are passionate about the latest distributed analytics and machine learning technologies, to ultimately solve the biggest everyday problems facing the ever-growing travel industry.
We have catered lunches on Mondays, happy hours after Friday sprint demos, and frequent employee-organized office events. We have a dog-friendly office located conveniently between Powell BART and Caltrain SF in the heart of SoMa.
FLYR is a fast-paced, fast-growing startup that keeps teams small and gives our teammates complete ownership of their projects. Every team member has the ability to propose ideas for new products and improvements. We highly value the ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audiences, in order to help forge alignment between product management, product engineering, and data science.
We start with two 30 minute introductory calls with our CTO and the hiring manager. This is a chance for us to share more about FLYR and our vision, get a sense of mutual fit, and make sure we're able to answer any questions you might have about the company and the role.
For Engineering hires, we ask candidates to complete a brief (at-home) written coding exercise in the language of your choice, at your own pace and schedule. We just ask that you reply with your answers within two days.
We then bring candidates onsite. This is typically around 4 hours here in our South of Market, SF office location, meeting in-person with the hiring manager and a few members of the team. We're super flexible with schedules, and for candidates not in the Bay Area, we can chat via video conference.
