Flont

Flont is a NYC based startup pioneering JaaS: fine "Jewelry as a Service". The site launched in April and is revenue generating.

Our key product is a membership, where women borrow unlimited fine jewelry from Bulgari, Cartier, and Tiffany & Co., but we specialize in enabling the discovery of artisan designers. We carry over 30 brands, and have exclusives with 14 designers - with hundreds of jewels on-hand. (see recent coverage in Forbes, WWD, People and Vogue).

Our model is designed to enable high-touch sales in the age of e-Commerce. 10% of our members purchase an item for an average of $4,000. This is why the designers partner with us, and we have engaged surprising new channel partners.

We have a B2B model as well, using our stack to develop private label jewelry sharing sites in partnership with global brands. We also have a joint venture in China, with 2,300 stores and major internet and ecommerce partners.

Flont has been funded by 20 investors, all angels and executives, with deep experience in fashion, marketing, media, and finance. They include leading fashion tech investor Carmen Busquets, the former president of Coca-Cola and CEO of Revlon, the EVP of Coach, the CMO of Google Asia, the CMO of Hudson's Bay and the founder of MTV Asia.

Having completed a proof of concept phase, we now enter our "customer acquisition" phase. We are internalizing our development team (4 small external teams built the minimum viable product). The entire technology stack is up for debate.
