At Factmata, we believe that information overload is leading to business systems not being able to make sense of content being misinformation or genuine. This includes not being able to detect rumors, hate speech, hoaxes, one-sidedness, false claims, fake news, false promises and many more. Being able to discern the truth is increasingly harder in the world of fast media. With the rise of platforms where for anyone to share and post anything, and where content is not produced by those who check it, misinformation is going to be a major issue that machines will have to assist in solving. Our long term vision is to empower not just businesses but everyone on the web to know the context of what they are reading and be able to create better, more fact-based decisions on how to act in the world.
As our business model, we sell 3 main products - our API for content classification and intelligence, our content moderation service for nuanced grey area unsafe content, and our monitoring service to summarise the biases of narratives appearing online about any topic.
Factmata is headquartered in London, and plans to expand into the US. For more information, visit Factmata's Medium blog.
