Enova was an early entrant into online lending, launching its online business in 2004, and has since processed more than 31 million transactions and funded over $15 billion in loans. In less than a decade, Enova has grown from a small startup offering one product in the U.S., to a publicly traded company on the NYSE with seven products in four countries. Our mission is to close the World’s credit gap, and so far we’ve served more than 3 million people.
What propelled our growth in our early days is what continues to propel our growth today: Enova’s commitment to our values, spirit of innovation, and sophisticated technology and analytics. That said, our most critical asset continues to be our smart, talented people. If you’re a passionate engineer, and are looking to make an impact from day one, opportunities are ready for the taking. Come see what working at one of Chicago’s largest growing tech companies is all about.
Customer First. Operate as an Owner. Top Talent and Teamwork. Accountable for Results. Best Answer Wins.
These are our values, and they aren’t just posted on the walls - they’re embedded in who we are and how we get things done.
When it comes to the value of Top Talent, engineering is central to Enova’s success. Our engineers have strong technical skills and business sense, and they relentlessly pursue the best answer when solving both technical and business challenges. They work collaboratively in full stack, agile teams to build, maintain and grow the technology that supports multiple product lines.
When we’re not working hard at Enova, we’re having fun. We have Wednesday happy hours affectionately known as EWGROSS (Enova Weekly Great Riotous Outing to Supplement Socialization), and frequent team outings. In addition, Enova offers a fully-stocked snack kitchen, subsidized haircuts, yoga and massages, and of course the software and hardware of your choice.
Enova is committed to charitable giving, community development, and maximizing the power of its diverse workforce. Our passion is to strengthen the economic and social well-being of the communities we serve. We offer monthly group volunteer activities, provide employees one paid day a year to serve a nonprofit organization of their choice, and match charitable donations up to $250/year. In addition, we support local charities One Million Degrees, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and A Safe Haven.
For Enova’s engineers, community also means fostering the growth of Chicago’s technology. We regularly speak at conferences like RailsConf, and partner with various local meetup groups, such as Chicago Ruby, Chicago PostgreSQL, js.chi and Girl Develop It. Our own internal Women in Technology group also supports a number of technology groups focused on the advancement of women and underrepresented minority groups in technology.
