Our Story

Course Hero was founded in 2006 by a Cornell University student who missed a class and realized there had to be a better way to get caught up than awkwardly asking a stranger for notes. He set out to create a platform where students and experts could share and access the great academic content they needed to succeed, anywhere, at any time.

Today, millions of students take advantage of Course Hero’s supplemental educational resources, which are catalogued by school, course, subject, standardized test and/or book. Whether you need to get through final exams or want to brush up on your French, we have the tools you need to achieve your goals.

Course Hero is an online learning library where you can access over 25 million course-specific study resources contributed by a community of students and educators. You'll find practice problems, study guides, videos, class notes, and step-by-step explanations for every subject you're studying --- from economics to literature, biology to history, accounting to psychology, and everything in between. We help you quickly find what you need so you can learn deeply.

That's why we're working closely with educators to help support student learning and complement what's happening in the classroom.
