About Us

BridgeHealth was founded with the aim of bringing high quality healthcare to plan members in self-insured health plans while reducing costs to plan members and plan sponsors. We recognize that there exists a huge variation in the quality of care as surgical outcomes for hospitals are compared. We also recognize that a hospital that has great outcomes in one type of surgery (orthopedics for example) may have poor outcomes in other surgical categories (e.g. cardiac surgery or women’s health). Based on this, BridgeHealth created a provider network directing specific surgical procedures to high performance surgical facilities.

Our team recognizes that healthcare costs are rising out of control and that only by changing the way we approach and manage benefits can we keep treatment affordable for everyone. To achieve this BridgeHealth has been a recognized leader in contracting with providers for bundled case rates: combining the various charges for a surgery into a single discounted price. Combining these pre-negotiated case rate bundles for major surgery with high quality healthcare providers offers our clients the best possible service value: high quality and low cost.

BridgeHealth offers this program to large self-funded employers, government and education groups, Taft-Hartley & Union plans, third-party administrators and consultants, associations, and health captives.
