BlocPower connects impact investors to energy efficiency projects in churches, synagogues, non-profits, and small businesses in underserved communities. We identify potential green retrofit projects in underserved neighborhoods, then perform an energy audit with a combination of sensors and onsite audits by our engineers. We analyze their financial and energy bills to come up with a loan to finance the retrofit and then manage the engineering of the retrofit which is done, in part, by underemployed workers in underserved communities.
As a member of our technology department you'll be writing the software that makes BlocPower work. This includes writing the software to help our engineers perform energy audits using our proprietary models; software that will help us analyze the big data that comes into our platform via sensors installed across our projects; and software that helps our team take projects through our pipeline. You’ll be helping to develop software for our entire business, from business development to green retrofit.
