Diversity and community in technology

The team that creates our technology needs to be as diverse as the customers who use it. Our community initiatives promote careers in technology for young people, and have won awards.

Our IT Girls Allowed programme aims to inspire young people with stories about women in technology, such as Ada Lovelace and the female operators at Bletchley Park during World War Two. Our Women in Technology group leads initiatives to attract and retain female talent for our technology teams, and Barclays offers employee networks for all aspects of diversity, including ethnicity and sexual orientation.
