Averon

Averon is changing the very nature of logging in. When the internet was developed in 1992 identity was purposefully and explicitly left out. The result: spoofed IPs, anonymous attacks, fake news, and every website on the planet needing to create its own login process. We can fix that.

Averon leverages the carriers' existing authentication process. This can be applied as a 2FA process which, unlike other 2FA require no installation or action on the part of the user, or it can even be the identity and authentication all at once--you don't need to enter a password before each phone call, do you? Why can't the internet work like that?

We're building out an engineering team in NYC. We're hiring 5 roles today and expect to be 8-10 engineers by the end of the year. Out platform is at the MVP stage, so this is a change to help build a greenfield product and team in a hot space. Plus, how many other jobs give you the chance to say, "I help stop criminals?"

We've raised $13M in A round funding. Our investors include Avalon Ventures and Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce. Our CEO, Wendell Brown is an engineer from Cornell who has a very successful track record with his prior startups (see his Wikipedia page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendell_Brown).
