Avant-garde Health launched in the spring of 2015 and we are already working with over a dozen hospitals, including many of the top ones in the country. Health care is in the midst of a significant transition as hospitals and physicians become more accountable for the quality and cost of their care. Unfortunately, today they lack good information on both and insight into how they could be improving. We help them solve this problem by combining together lots of different types of data from each hospital to help them understand their performance and where they have the biggest opportunities for improvement.
Avant-garde Health grows out of the value-based health care delivery work at Harvard Business School (HBS) that is led by Professors Michael Porter and Bob Kaplan, who are our advisers. In the last 1.5 years since being founded we have written 6 Harvard Business Review articles related to our work establishing ourselves as the thought leaders in this space. We are located across the street from HBS.
We are looking for incredibly talented people who are passionate about solving the health care cost crisis and tackling difficult technical challenges. We were recently profiled in the Huffington Post.
