Hi. We’re August. People who love good design and even better engineering. Our products make it simple and trustworthy to share access to your home with all those other people in your life -- family, friends, guests and even housekeepers and other service providers. From our founders (Jason & Yves) to our newest team members, everyone at August is committed to shipping high-quality products with an integrated hardware and software experience that just works.

Since August started rolling in 2012, the momentum has only built. We’ve already shipped 2 products in the last 12 months and have more on the way. Our products have been reviewed favorably by critics and users alike so we have a good track record there. We’re already sold at all your favorite places -- Apple Stores, Amazon and Best Buy, with more on the way. And we’re backed by some of Silicon Valley’s smartest minds with $50m in investment to-date.

Engineering & product: If you like engineering products that are highly reliable, scalable and building experiences your customers will interact with every single day, August is for you. Our software developers tend to be comfortable working in multiple programming languages (Objective C, C, Javascript, Java, MongoDB, Node.JS, and Redis) and to be enthusiastic about learning new things to make the hardware do what they want. On the hardware front, we’re obsessive about things like mechanical reliability, power consumption and comms (esp. Bluetooth LE and ARM processors). To help our devs out, our product and design teams covers the range from extremely technical to UX-focused.

Sales, marketing & manufacturing: Whether it’s taking EVT hardware to mass production, explaining the various ways August can be used, or managing our expanding base of channels, we’re looking to add to your team.
