Are you a software engineer interested in understanding how a VC works? Do you want to help bring in a new age of venture capital where technology is a key part of how companies are found, funded, and helped to success?

Atomico, one of Europe’s largest & best regarded VCs, shares this vision, and - uniquely for this industry - has an engineering team to make this a reality. Join our growing eng team to get a unique insight into venture, startups and company growth.

Who we are and what we offer
Atomico has entrepreneur DNA at its core. We were started by founders, and have a high proportion of founders, CEOs, CTOs on our team. A good number of us are computer scientists. Culturally we’re data driven and transparent. If you’re from a tech background you should find yourself very much at home!
Our goal is to find global, game changing companies, with the most ambitious founders, and the biggest visions. We have done this consistently, with companies like Supercell, Lilium and Graphcore in our portfolio. With our software supported approach, we hope to take this to the next level, never missing great founders.
You will have the chance to regularly interact with great founders, respected investors, and gain a deep insight into the things that make a startup into a successful business. This will be invaluable experience whether you want to join us for a long time or whether only for a year or two before you embark on a startup journey (hopefully you might join one of ours!)
Our values and principles make this an apolitical and highly engaging place. It’s no surprise that many of our portfolio company founders later join us. Responsibilities
Act like an owner. Figure out what needs to be built and build it - managing projects dynamically and collaboratively. We are a small team that speaks openly, and want you to bring not just engineering prowess but a genuine love of the product process.
Use data and modern data science methods to surface great companies, investors, and people within the European startup ecosystem and improve the way we interact with and satisfy all of these partners.
Build best in class systems in our Javascript and Python based stack - using sklearn, asyncio, SQL, and Pandas.
Take care and love building our our new systems - after all, they’re a key part of allocating and managing $1.5B+ of venture capital money. (Luckily, we have 85%+ test coverage!)
