About vzaar

vzaar started in 2007 as a video solution for ebay. It has since adapted, and grown into a fully fledged end-to-end video hosting platform boasting several large enterprise clients. We take control of the upload, encoding and delivery of videos, as well as giving our customers insights into their video usage.

Despite the growing size of our customer base we remain a small and super friendly company, with around 15 employees based in our Vauxhall, London HQ. Our product team is a mix of developers with varying focus, a designer and a project manager. This includes the management, marketing, development, support and sales teams. We also have a remote contingent based in Poland and across America that supplement our core teams.

Technology at vzaar

The majority of our code is Ruby on Rails on the backend with a healthy dose of JavaScript (React & Redux) on the frontend. We have a team with a wide spectrum of levels of experience, and varying backgrounds.

Our hiring process

The first step will be an informal conversation, to see if you and vzaar might be a good fit.
From there we don't have a set process, but steps you could expect are completing a programming homework task, face to face interviews, including a discussion of your homework and a conversation with one of our founders.
