Traitify's story began much like other stories, with a bad blind date.
Back then (2011), we called the company Woofound (pronounced "woo" + "found", no "woof") and we found ourselves frustrated at the lack of good personalization methods, particularly as they related to finding "things to do" (in this case things to do on a blind date)
To help truly personalize the world around us, the Traitify team (we changed our name to reflect on focus on personality traits) devised a method (now patented!) that measures a person's response to images and determines their personality traits and types as a result.
We've opened this up for other developers to use through our API and offer the ability to measure personality in different contexts (relationship, career, entertainment, etc.) We make money when developers make API calls to unlock that juicy personality data and use it in awesome ways.
We're an awesome team of unique personalities (designers, developers and of course, psychologists!). Our passion is personality and we truly believe that through better understanding of what makes people tick, we can make the world a more personalized (and hopefully, happier) place to reside.
