What are we building

Joyspace is innovating the personal group communication space. As humans, we naturally act in groups. Your family is a group, your best friends is a group, you go to concerts in a group, and so much more. Yet there’s no group app that makes interacting with multiple people simple and fun nor something that makes sharing memories instantaneous. And in a world where digital communication is quickly moving from the keyboard to the camera, creating a quick way to share content is paramount. So at Joyspace, you can imagine we’re building a personal version of Slack, perfect for families, friends, vacations, or any group activity, with an emphasis on rich-media.

Content on Joyspace doesn’t disappear (unless you delete it), there’s unlimited sharing and storage, group messaging, and tons of fun features like live reactions. We’ve got really interesting plans to grow, especially in the events space like weddings & music festivals, and our team is nothing short of badass. So much so that we’ve raised $1 million from the world's most powerful influencers in entertainment, coming from: Def Jam Records, Warner Bros. Studios, Major League Baseball, HBO’s Game of Thrones, CAA & more.

We're a team

Joyspace's first priority is its team. Sure investors, advisors, and the delivery guy are all important, but the team is the backbone of our company and always will be. We work in a fun, fast-paced environment because we know everyone works as hard as possible (if you couldn't tell, trust is very important to us). Everyone shares their opinions and is encouraged to come up with interesting and creative ideas for how we can grow as a company. AKA there's most certainly no such thing as a stupid idea at HQ.

Hiring is a challenge both on the employer and candidate side. That's why we ensure interviews are conducted as quickly as possible and information is always transparent.

We first chat on the phone to give you a grand overview of who we are and to answer your questions. This is also when we'd review your experiences and prior work. If that goes well, you'll meet directly with our CEO for a face-to-face to ensure you'll vibe well with our awesome team. Given that you're as skilled and passionate as we hope, you may be given a quick coding test to complete and upon its success, you'll receive a full-time offer to become part of the team.
