Samba TV was founded in 2008 with one goal: To improve the TV experience for the people who watch, broadcast, and advertise on TV.

Team & Culture

The founding team came out of BitTorrent looking to make TV awesome. We completed our Series A in May of 2012 with investors including Jay Virdy, Tom McInerney, Richard Yoo, James Hong, Mark Cuban, and Gary Lauder. In 2017, we raised a Series B round of $37.5M to expand our global operations. We're a big, smart family and take care of our own. Perks include the usual things at a startup -- unlimited vacation days, top workstations, company trips, work from home occasionally to get things done, etc. From postdocs and PhDs working on complex video and audio algorithms to hackers and designers working on insane web and mobile problems – we’re looking for the best and brightest.
