Ted Zagat, Neville Bowers, and Maxwell Hayman are complementary teammates and friends from Facebook. They appreciate Facebook's approach to fostering productivity by empowering people. Rimeto's software automates and extends those best practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The software engineer position will help build the core product while influencing the entire product and business
• Technical challenges include: architecting our mobile and web product experiences, scaling our distributed service infrastructure, and optimizing our content ranking algorithms through machine learning
• Reports directly to Neville Bowers, technical co-founder

WHAT YOU'D DO IN A TYPICAL WEEK

• Work directly with Product, Engineering and Design to help create and refine specs for a new feature
• Create new view components, extend the data model, and write unit tests - all on the same day
• Discuss technical challenges such as architecting mobile and web product experiences, scaling our distributed services infrastructure, building our data processing pipelines, etc
• Mentor and be mentored by other engineers (we love code reviews!)
• Influence product and business strategy based on deep customer understanding

QUALIFICATIONS

• High quality software engineering experience
• Experience OR interest in JavaScript, Node.js, React, React Native
• Comfort in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Position based in San Francisco Bay Area
