Restoration Media was founded 16 years ago by two passionate entrepreneurs who were interested in developing new data driven email marketing strategies. As the company evolved, the focus became building a recommendation based recruitment marketing platform. Today the Restoration Media is focused on providing jobseekers with relevant, data-driven job recommendations and employers with high quality candidates to fill their open positions.

CareerCentric Network
The CareerCentric Network is Restoration Media’s portfolio of 15+ branded job search destinations. For our audience of jobseekers, these properties and brands deliver relevant job opportunities via email, which in turn causes users to engage directly on these properties. Hireable.com is a good example of one of our job search sites. We operate primarily in the US with the UK being a focal growth market for us.

Business Model
The business model is one based largely on paid search and is a close analog to paid search businesses run by companies such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing, but with a specific focus on matching candidates with employers.

In 2016, the company launched an initiative to develop its own “Marketplace” supported by an auction based search platform. Within this platform and business model, advertisers provide campaigns comprised of available jobs with associated budget and cost-per-click parameters for each position. The platform uses relevancy algorithms to match relevant jobs with a user’s specific interests typically defined by one or more job search keywords and their location, and then delivers these jobs based on bid value. Most advertisers evaluate the performance of these campaigns based on the costs associated with acquiring a qualified application or resume, and in some cases, the quality of the candidate delivered. Marketplace participants include direct employers; recruitment agencies, who manage campaigns on behalf of employers; programmatic buying platforms and agency hybrids; and qualified job boards and industry players. In the future, the company could also pursue advertising relationships with staffing firms and small businesses.

What We Need In A Product Leader
The company has a team of three dedicated product managers who are eager to learn from a more experienced leader, who can help them grow and evolve within the organization while helping the company to develop more mature internal process and to drive innovation. We are also looking for someone who is passionate about our current business and the potential to expand into other interesting areas such as chatbots. Our product leader will have a high degree of ownership around the overall strategic product priorities for the company and will make critical decisions that impact our planning and ultimately our success. You should enjoy the operational and creative aspects of running a portfolio of 15 properties supported by a very large scale email business with a focus on driving engagement, search relevancy and yield. Team members are based in Irvine, CA, however, a significant portion of our engineering resources are based in Buenos Aires.
